What happened to the fellow that was doing a Lanc cockpit???

Hey guys and girls.
Does anyone remember the fellow that bought up the lancaster cockpit framework etc on ebay and was going to build it and fit it out?

Stirling cockpit

David,

You are correct. Although the floor for my Halifax ….. project will be made of wood, the rest such as frames, stringers, skinning, brackets etc will all be done in aluminium and according to HP specs as much as I can. My friend who is making the Lanc cockpit is going ever further and wants absolute accuracy.

Cheers

Cees

How is the Stirling coming along? Any new pictures?

Perhaps this picture will inspire a few builders-from-scratch { Kemble, last weekend} a very impressive effort.

Maybe the builder will find time to log on, and tell us more.

Will any wings be produced to go with this? It looks mightily impressive, is it fully kitted out inside?

best regards, steve

Peter – practicalities aside I guess to be the ‘real deal’ a Lancaster/Halifax ideally needs to be aluminium – wood is best suited to Mosquito’s !
