One could always fob it off with a “these things happen” but that would also be insesitive. OK so a rare? historic machine has been lost but lives are a different matter and I feel that condolences to the family are far more appropriate than speculating whether the aircraft should be grounded. After all aircraft can be rebuilt (and are) from some very unrebuildable looking wrecks.

they have an accident history over the past 5 years that makes the lightnings service history shine!
That might be the case but when two people have been killed, don’t you think it’s a bit innapropriate to start discussing air-worthiness.
I think the word that might spring to most peoples mind is ‘sensitivity’.
Or am I just old fashioned?

thoughts go out to the family in yet another loss. is it time they were grounded completley?
Wouldn’t it have been Infinitely preferable if you’d have just sent your condolences rather than opening a debate on air-worthiness? 😡
