Greetings fellow FlyPast members, just this week in the US , our version of The History Channel ran a trememdous story on Wing Commander Adrian Warburton and like many I had no idea who the this outstanding RAF pilot was. I would like to see if anyone can make me a copy of the BBC 2 version of this documentary? I can return your pal tape as well…can get it remastered to DVD or if you can make a DVD copy I can play pal DVD’s in my machine. A really fine presentation of this remarkable man’s life, have read all I can about him on the net. You can email off forum if you wish.
Thanks

Mike J Thanks !!
Mike J..thanks, will try and get hold of a copy. The program here on the US History Channel was most impressive and you have to give the two historians much credit for uncovering the evidence that led to his body being recovered. Most impressive funeral in German for the man !

I can’t help with the video but…
It would appear Warby was fairly adept at writing his own legend. If you can find a book by Sqn. Ldr. Harry Coldbeck called The Maltese Spitfire (apart from being an excellent book) it tends to put a different slant on Warby’s exploits. Coldbeck was a highly respected NZ PR pilot on Malta at the same time as Warburton was there.
