Caribou, passing through (11 June)

A DHC Caribou has arrived at Cheltenham (Staverton) PK-YRO, en-route Indonisia for Trigana Air.
The Flyer website had a recent thread looking to set up some air/air photography-could be an interesting opportunity for somebody. There was also talk of lobbing into Popham for some cheap(ish) fuel !

Re PK-YRO, if anyone’s interested I’ve uploaded a sequence of air to air shots taken by a friend of this Caribou whilst it was passing through Gloucester last year – see www.flygloster.co.uk and click on the Caribou picture.

Not sure what you saw (or heard), but the Caribou was firmly on the ground today being refuelled. Currently on stand 1 with a Flight Planned departure of 0830 Wednesday ex Gloucester for Malta en route Indonesia. Some pix in the June Gloucester gallery at http://egbj.fotopic.net/

I was not specific-plenty of pilots linger hereabouts. I have even heard of some pilots who take photographs, not to mention photographers who mutate into pilots!
