Doh!!!!
sorry mate miss read that has, you used to be ground crew when she was in service, all the best with what your doing to her mate
By: landyman - 5th June 2005 at 23:51
hiya mate, the groud crew bit is what we refer to ourselves as, with her being grounded at the mo, she will not be flying but everything will work, got to say though, she looks far worse than she is. we are at the painting stage, and have started to fit out the cockpit, lots of work still to do though.
best regards,
Greg

Sounds like you have your hands full mate,
I see you were ground crew for said aircraft, did you ever get to have a jolly in her at anytime?
Has for the Swift and the other aircraft in the new hanger, emmmm they all seem to be going a deeper shade of Red in there at the minute, They are sanding down the Varsity in there and the red dust is floating around the hanger and settling on most of the other airframes, nothing a good dust down wont cure at the end of the day

Hiya Lee, the JP i’m working on is the one at the visiters center at the former RAF Metheringham (not far from RAF Digby), the JP is a T4, serial XS186, its owned by a mate of mine called Paul and i’m there most saturdays, we are aiming at getting all the systems fully operational.
aaaah the swift, i was involved with her first restoration, must be about 18 years ago now, i can see its been done again, am glad she is inside now. for a funny tale about the time i was working on her check out the thread about embarrasing happenings on here mate,
best regards.

Sorry to bore you with this,
but ive just added another 50 photos to the site,
and im also starting to do write ups about all the aircraft at the museum
rgds lee
Not boring at all, in fact one of the most useful things (to me) the internet is for is to see new developments at museums e.t.c, and photos if possible!
