We were shovelling some shingle into the garden today and we found a spent bullet casing among it. Markings are L13A2, RG, 01. Can anyone tell me what it is? It’s not very large calibre, maybe only a .22.
thanks

I’m sure Tony will know better if I’m wrong but IIRC the “01” refers to year of manufacture i.e. 2001

Thanks, I knew someone on here would know.

I think it’s a type of blank ammunition, 7.62mm i believe, where did the shingle come from?
I’d agree with that – L13A2 is blank 7.62mm ammunition, RG would be the factory (Radway Green)

Covers is a shop, yeah? Wow you could get them in so much trouble for having ammunition in there, even if its just the casing, just think of all the compensation :-p

Came from Covers! It could be beach stuff.
Blank sounds right, the end is crimped (it’s also a bit mashed now).
