With beautiful blue skies above and the roar of harvards in the distance FM212 gracefully lifted of fo her pedestal and made a smooth touchdown on the grass to a hearty round of applause.
She is going to remain in the park for 2 weeks and will be open for guided tours before being dismantled and stored in a temporary building for a year before moving to the new air museum that will be built at Windsor Airport.

Lancaster
When I was doing my RAF flying training at Penhold, Alberta in 1955 there was a Lancaster at a gas station between the airfueld and the local town of Red Deer. Has any one any info if it survived the scrapman’s axe?

Well done!
Did you have to lower the gear or was it in the lowered position when the Lanc was on the pedestal?

I wasnt taking them once she was airborne as I couldnt shoot stills and video at the same time. I think the fellow that was taking the pics at that moment got a bit shaky LOL
