Before I went the tour organisers were not sure if anything would be there for us to see as there was development all around.
Just before my visit vandals set fire to the IL14.
As for the canopies they have just been left open

I was offered the Il-14 as part of the deal and was told they would make it airworthy (for an unreasonable amount of dollars). They just kept jacking the price up and up.
After it all collapsed I discovered they had previously tried to sell the aircraft in China but interest there had disappeared after similar increasing demands.
I also recall multiple “interests” behind the aircraft which was a problem even for the principals on the museum side.
