CWH Lysander nearing first flight

Hi all – I just heard from a friend at CWH that their Lysander is at the stage of engine runs. They tried yesterday – the engine turns over nicely, but apparently the carb was giving trouble.

Their Canso also had engine runs yesterday.

I’ve just had a look at Kermit Week’s Flights of Fantasy site, and there is no mention of a Lysander? does he still have it?

Cheers Mike. It’s all the more important then.

Oooh yes, it looks fantastic – I’ve seen many wartime black and white photos of Lysanders in that scheme, but it looks stunning in full colour.

Once in the air, how many will be airworthy then?

It will be nice to see a Lysander in such a nice Target Tug sheme in the sky. Those colours are certainly a bit different than what I am used to see on airshows.

Keep us up to date about this project Eddie.

Greets,
