Can anyone suggest where to arrange a flight in Dakota for my Father.
Preferably within a 2 hour Drive of London. Are there such things as flights over famous landmarks?
I have seen the Air Atlantique website which has some info but wondered if anyone knows of other operating DC3’s or pleasure flights.
Thanks in advance

For a price 😉
Generally its either DC3, Twin Pin, Rapide or Prentice. We were hoping to have the Dove available this year but it doesn’t look likely due engine troubles.

will the anson ever be available?

The Dutch Dakota Association will offer short flights from Norwich. It does not say when, but most likely may 16th (monday) since then they will be there anyway. More information will be available on their website “soon”, but for now information can be requested via dda@xs4all.nl.

Failing that, we usually have two open days a year, the first is April 23rd and the second is likely to be September. Its £50 and that gets you a flight in the aircraft of your choice, Dak in your case, plus a tour of the AA facilities.

What choices are available? Meteor? 😀

Oh yes, as far as landmarks go, the flights from Baginton usually take in a quick circuit around Warwick Castle for the amusement of our customers, and presumably those lucky enough to be up the ramparts at the same time!

Too Bad your across the pond, or you could ride on our AC-47 gunship which by the way served in the 9th AF during WWII.

Thanks Tom
I have just received the FOD newsletter and note that there is a visit to Air Atlantique in August. I guess it will be oversubscribed but I’ll give it a go.

I think we are now the only people in the UK offering DC3 flights.
