Would it be too far fetched, what with all the attention this gathering…is gathering….to expect a few of the UK Mustangs to be packed and shipped over to the States to take part in this event? Kinda like the Spitfire that came over to Nellis on the 50th anniversary of something or other a number of years ago? Just curious…

Since the organizers plan to round up 100+ airworthy P-51’s – it might well be possible that UK birds might migrate west, too.

Hi Mark…not sure of our schedule that far down the road. We will probably do Ft Collins again sometime in late july. I have been bugging Ryan about getting us into the Mustang Gathering next year. Hopefully our schedule will allow this to happen.

One thing I hope the organizers plan to do…….please hire a production company to produce a top quality DVD in 5.1 dobly audio….wide screen format !!!!! This would be a real keeper for all of us warbird lovers out there. Bound to been many BlueNose P-51, hope Kermit Weeks birngs out “CRIPES A’ MIGHITY 3RD” for the event !!! History in the making….Merlin sounds a plenty !!!!

Jim, I agree wholeheartedly, and in fact it was looking at the photos on this forum recently of ‘Princess Elizabeth’ running up her engine and getting ready to get back on the airshow circuit that made me ask if UK Mustangs at the Gathering would be possible….sure would be nice to see her there….
Hey, when do the Bombers come through Colorado and where? Denver or Ft. Collins like last year?

It would certainly be nice to see Princess Elizabeth brought over. It would be worth it just to see all the B models in one spot.

Mark, this has been hinted at and I would like to think it could happen – it would be a lot of fun, but my feeling is the UK Mustangs will stay in the UK. Hope I am proved to be wrong though.

Guess it depends on how much it cost’s too prep and ship the Stang to the US there’d be no doubt that it would be a welcome addition to a once in a lifetime gathering i plan on taking the trip out to Reno myself next year just to see all those Mustangs and can you imagine the sound of all those Merlins running at once if i recall the largest number of Mustangs that i’ve personally seen fly was 12 and that was quite a site i hope they can pull it off
