I’m sitting watching Operation Crossbow (thanks DaveB!), and a Lancaster appeared to touch down, and taxi in with its outer engines stopped. It also had its nose turret removed and fared over. As the film was shot in the mid-60s, I’m presuming it was PA474?
I note in the book Battle of Britain Memorial Flight by Bill Taylor that ‘474 appeared in a French TV film called Lieutenant Karl, but no mention of Crossbow.
