Attention Mossie lovers

i’ve just finished reading an article in Air Classics Vol 41 No. 5 entitled “Brand New Mosquitoes” essentially what this article is about is that some guy by the name of Glyn Powell has built the tools and molds necessary to recreate the mossies woodwork the article also state that they’re attempting to return KA114 to the skies within 3-5 years the article also makes mention of another gentleman byt he name of Jerry Yagan (Fighter Factory) will purchase any Mosquito parts he can be reached at http://www.fighterfactory.net at present it looks like it’s only one Mosquito they’re working on however the caption under one of the pics leads me to believe that they’re looking to do more caption reads “with the advent of the Mosquito tooling and molds,it is not impossible that we will seenear new Mosquitoes flying in the future. The name of the organizations are Avspecs and Glyn Powell’s Mosquito Restorations both base out of Ardmore Airfield, Auckland, New Zealand don’t know about the rest of you but i think i might just have to move there it was acttually kind of ironic actually i’d just finished watching “633 Squadron” right before reading Air Classics

“Skipper I’m going to recommend you for a medal and when it comes i’m going to pin it on your tail”

Take care all and lets keep em flying

Actually, Brit, I reckon a lot of folks on here have heard of this stuff before (I know I have) and I have seen some pics that some folks have posted here of the pieces and parts that are being done, so it’s no HUGE news to us, but it is nice to be kept abreast of what is going on and where to go and what to read to glean more info on the whole operation…I’ll definitely pick up Air Classics nect time I’m at Borders and peruse the article…I would love to see a few Mossies up and going again, never seen one fly…
