Without wishing to deviate the thread too much:
Gnat IE1083 was with 23 Squadron IAF during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1965. It apparently mistakenly strayed into Pakistan and landed at Pasrur. The PAF were able to fly and test this aircraft. It is one of the original batch of 23 built by Folland and exported to India, which were in service from 1958. The Ajeet was an improved, Indian built version used from 1977. So the one at Karachi is a Gnat not an Ajeet.
