‘Tool Box On the Wing’ was a good read about ground crew,Sorry I dont know the author or publisher as I got it at my library a few years ago,well worth looking out for though.

Aces, Erks and Backroom Boys contains memories of groundcrew, aircraft factory workers, etc. Quite good, I enjoyed it when I read it recently.
