Vickers Vincent

Not sure if this has been noted before, but found this on http://www.barnstormers.com under warbirds and vickers:

VICKERS VINCENT PROJECT • FOR SALE OR TRADE • Very Challenged but achievable static restoration project. One of 2 known to survive, may trade • Contact Dave Lochead – CDC LIMITED located Blenheim, New Zealand • Telephone: 03-5784410 • Fax: 03-5784450 • Posted February 10, 2005

Anybody know any more any this project?

Out of intrest, anybody know about how much a project like this will set you back (not that I have spare money to buy it I hasten to add). I guess that actually buying the aircraft will only be a small percentage of what you finally spend on it.

Cheers,

Steve

…just a simple approach:
Vincent Cartwright Vickers was the name of the son of the founder of Vickers Ltd.

‘My guess on Vincent is that it is named after Admiral Vincent who won the battle of Cape St Vincent.’

‘In the UK, aircraft names depended upon roles, so that the Vickers Vincent general-purpose type was the Vildebeeste torpedo bomber.’
