Yes it will be part of the DF loop housing. I have a fair collection of parts now but not a complete unit. It sounds like it might be the right size for the Whitley. Might it be available for sale or trade?

Evening chaps

Whilst digging at the back of a shed I have come across a bakelite dome. It is around eleven inches in diameter and about 6 1/2 inches high. There is a flanged, recessed hole at the top where I would assume the retaining nut would go and the rim has a grove cast into it. It appears never to have been painted. Inside the dome is the air ministry number 10B/10591.

My first thought was the front of the torpedo shaped aerial to be found atop Wellingtons, Whitleys and such like, but do any of you have any better ideas?
