Wireless set 'choke unit'

Does anyone know what a ‘choke unit’ does? it’s part of the wireless system on the whitley and on our wants list, but I don’t even know what it looks like! Part number 10c/8464.

Quite difficult to explain…
how about this:

Electronics: A circuit element used to suppress or limit the flow of alternating current without affecting the flow of direct current.

It consists of one or more electrical coils.
