I’m trying to pin down the serial number of a Beaufighter which crashed on 5 January 1944. All I know is that it was Beaufighter 425. The only possibilities I’ve been able to find which match the number are JL425, NE425, NV425 and RD425. Does anyone know which of these four crashed on this date?

Ross,
Cheers. Exactly what I was looking for. Of course, I was eager enough for Vol 2 to appear; now that I know you’re working on Vol 4 I can’t wait for that as well!
