Sunderland turret parts

Hi all

We are on the lookout for Sunderland front turret parts for our FN16 restoration. I hear that there are some floating around in NZ. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks

Motat in Auckland has a complete Sunderland of course, and may have some spares to trade I guess. Also try the RNZAF Museum in Christchurch. They’ve possibly had turret bits handed into them.

The Sunderlans were mostly broken up at RNZAF Hobsonville in the 1970’s. Not sure if the turrets were removed and kept by antone.

The other option is contact someone in the Chatham Islands as complete Sundy is in bits there spread all over the place.

The museum at Ferrymead, Christchurch, NZ has a cockpit and other bits from a Sundy.
