I’ve posted this photo on GA already but thought I’d post here too. Many people on here are fond of the Chipmunk but not many users go over to the GA forum. This was taken today at Leicester and the main reason for me posting is that I think its my best yet with my new 300D.
Enjoy.

A couple of years ago I did some gliding at Husbands Bosworth, one of the Chimpmunk glider tugs was in Royal Navy colours. I’ll go over one day to see if its still there and get some pics.
Just been on G-INFO and it turns out this one is the navy schemed Chipmunk from Husbands Bosworth, G-BTVX.

I have a picture somewhere of the Navy schemed Chippie air racing…
Just an aside – the Silver Wellesbourne chippie when being paint stripped at EGBT was found to still have the RAF red/white/grey scheme under the yellow…

Is there a first post-restoration flight media call?
Not sure that I would want an audience! 😮
My medical is still suspended, but I’m seeing the consultant in a couple of weeks, so hopefully will be signed off so I can then see the AME.
The Bulldog is nearly ready after its extremely prolonged annual, and I’ve got to do an annual check flight/an hour with an instructor as part of my JAR two yearly cycle, so that will probably be my first flight.
We can arrange a little something for you lensmen in due course! 😀
Here’s something to be going on with which Jon Windover of Skyfury Photography prepared earlier – during the BP&BC Flypast weekend last August. :diablo:

Love Chippie’s but never been in one. Any offers? :diablo:
If my brakes ever get fixed and the list of 20 or so people in my queue ever goes down, I’ll happily take you up.
Anyone out there good at fixing Chipmunk brake cables?

Neal I bet it is. Recall seeing the placing of the number in the 3Rs regs. Air Racing in a Chippy – how cool and how much fun would that be? 😎

Chipmunk
🙂 Nice to see an old friend again. I’m pretty certain that I have that one in my logbook from my RN Flying Grading days at Plymouth Roborough in Dec 1978 (Ouch a long time ago now!). Great to see it looking great and flying!
