An Irresponsible Publisher? (Not Key, of course)

What a totally irresponsible thing to do, I’ve just seen an add on SciFi TV for this.

If you have any thoughts about model aircraft, good or bad, this reckless publisher could end up killing the whole thing off if someone gets hurt:

I wouldn’t normally post a link to another forum, but these guys seem to have hit the right nail on the right head: –

Frankly, I’m in total agreement.

And Deagostini are trying to do this with our beloved Spitfire as the role model. Surely, a better start might have been one of those Airhog things?

I hope no one actually manages to build one, and try to fly it without help or insurance. Do Deagostini realise what they might be letting themselves in for, litigation wise, if someone gets hurt?

Words fail me! With that kind of attitude I hope they go bust. It will save a lot of sorrow if they do.
Notice how short I kept this and I’m not noted for brevity when something annoys me.

One thing Rob could be how many people will actually see their project through to the end?Of course if one person does and causes an accident it is one to many, but I remember seeing an advert by the same company for a r/c car, it started of at approx.£2.99 for the first issue then it was £6.99 for the rest, of which there were alot!,i think in total it came to a few hundred pounds and a lot of months collecting and I just wondered how many people saw it through to the end.

Hi I have just built one of those rally cars for someone, and the quality of the kit was not very good at all.For a lot less money he could of brought a tamiya kit which would have been ten times better than this one, :

If you ever watch Watchdog you might find that they sometimes feature
unfinished ‘Cutty Sark’s’ and other models that are offered by these magazines. I believe few are ever finished!
