Found this photo in Stieglitz photo essay from LFA last year. Is it just my imagination or was there another French T-6 in those same colors a few years ago? Looked through my photos, but could not find it!
I am certain that Paul Franceshi had a Harvard IV in the same colors as this one. Can anyone confirm this?
I am actually keen on seeing a variety of T-6s if I make LFA this year. When the Dutch and British T-6s went on their European odyssy (visiting Norway amongst others) in 1993, there were no French ones with them. 🙁

And here is another one of F-AZAS at a Harvard meet at Bassingbourn in 1978. Does anyone have a list of Harvards that attended this gathering?

TJ,
F-AZRB is the J. Bastet T6 but the F-AZAS is own by G. kern.
F-AZHD is also own by J Bastet
According to the Warbirds Directory Bastet owned AZAS from 1987 until selling it to Georges Kern in 1993. Kern then sold it to Spain in 2001. Does anyone have photos of the pair from the late 90s when they might have flown together?

Just found out that F-AZRB and the other T-6 with the same markings (F-AZAS) were both owned by the same guy, a J. Bastet of La Ferte Alais. AZAS was sold to Spain in 2001. The Mk. IV that Paul Franceschi had (F-AZFC) was in the same colors as F-AZYT wears now. Only the # on the cowl was different. 25 vs. 26! Hope to see AZRB before it gets sold, and maybe repainted. Although not very original, it is quite nice. That is the great thing about T-6s. You have so many different paint jobs out there, not always what purists want to see, but I for one love it!

In fact the F-AZRB is actually for sale. based at la Ferté Alais but not an AJBS T6

Registration of the harvards are:
D-Day stripes: F-AZRB and operated by AJBS
French: F-AZYT operated from Cuers by Les Ailes de l’Aéro.
(Ah I am to slow 😮 Cheers Franck!)

There is a CD based on the official French register edited by Brugier sold for 20 euros, postpaid.
Howewer, the name of the owner and current status (flyable or not) is not quoted.

The second pic is of an Harvard II, not IV mate.
Alex
Thanks, smartass… 😉 😀 😀 Actually my question was if Paul Franceschi had a Mk. IV in those colors, and where is that aircraft now? Did look through the Directory vol. 4 and found that it did crash in 1993 at Le Castellet. Does anyone know more about this accident? Is there any web site where one can access the French register, like G-INFO or the FAA site for instance? And more to the point, a site that is not just in French. Can’t speak the language!
