This collection just gets better.
It is a decade or more since I previously visited and I have to say what a fantastic museum it is.
The weather and lighting conditions were changeable and quite challenging. Oh and did I mention the ffffreeeezing north westerly that kept me company during my visit.
The Meteor with vertical lift engine, reverse thrust and reheat was of particular interest to me. The wind tunnel models were also unusual especially the Hawker Siddeley P1216
I am unable to post pics at present as the server tells me that jpgs are illegal file types, but will do so as soon as I am permitted.

I find it quite sad that more of the Avro Ashton didn’t survive 🙁
I find it surprising that any of it survived.

Fantastic shots there. Does anyone know what aircraft are in the new hanger now and the other aircraft are to move into the new hanger?

I must confess that I did not go to the rear of the Vulcan as I found so much to see in the hangars.
I have registered with photobucket and have received the email confirming password but cannot login.
Somewhat disappointing as I thought the pics would be of interest.

Merlin70. On my last it visit rained all day so I spent most of my visit in or under the Vulcan (wich was not so bad). Have they completed the work on jet pipes.
Try www.photobucket.com
It takes 2 minutes to register and its free. Its so simple I can use it. when you are registerd transfer your pics from your computer to the site. Then they can be moved to this site by copying the code (url what ever it is called) and pasting it in the reply box on this site.
