Nice use of the Spitfire to promote 10K run in London for the 60th VE day celebrations. Hoping to hear some good news soon on the release of “Spitfire Ace” on DVD….any word as to if or when this might happen?
Does anyone hear have the vhs documentaries about Carolyn Graces Spitfire and can offer a quick review? Saw them listed on her site and was wondering if any of you have seen them.

Daz:
Thanks for the note and the review on the Grace ML407 films, going to add those top my collection. The program “Spitfire Ace” was outstanding and needs to be out on DVD. It has run here in the states on The History Channel, I see from a post on the Grace website it has also been show in Australia. A first class tribute to the Spitfire ane the young men who flew them in combat! Thanks again for the review!

Happy B’Day BlueNoser.
I have all of the ML407 films, and they are excellent. The first, “Perfect Lady” charts ML407’s career and subsequent restoration, including Nick Grace flying ML407’s one-time pilot Johnny Houlton (who also shot down the first(?) kill on D-Day!). “Going Solo” documents Carolyn’s training on the Spitfire prior to her first solo in it, and “Absolute Heaven” has Carolyn taking ML407’s delivery pilot for a ride about Duxford.
Great stuff – 5 out of 5!

Thanks Janie for the BBirthday Wishes!
Thanks Janie for the birthday wishes, hit the big 51 today. Asked for a ride in a BlueNose P-51 but had to settle for a ride in a Delta 767. I am hoping some executive will get this great documentary out on DVD “Spitfire Ace”. One of the best flying documentaries I have seen , Carolyn Grace can really fly that lovely Spit ! A most impressive body of work, I believe it was produced by Channel Four in the UK ? Thanks again for the birthday shoutout from here in the colonies !!!!
