Managed to find my way to a site today that had photos from the line up of planes at Chino during their last airshow, and the moron who wrote the captions had them ALL wrong, at least as regards British planes….he had AE977 (The Hurricane that came over from England a few years ago) listed as David Price’s Hawker Hurricane (which was N687DP or something as I recall) and which has since been sold on to Ed Russell in Canada, and he had Price’s former bubble canopied Spitfire N749DP (if memory serves) confused with a similarly painted high-back version that ALSO came over from the UK recently…and if I recall, Price’s bubble canopied Spit passed on to the CAF a few months ago. Man, I hate inaccuracy in reporting….take the time to at least TRY to get it right!!
