Anybody know what happened then ?

As the Hunter was pulled from eBay a few days before its due date.

To cut a long story short Dave, it wasn’t theirs to sell (see my first post in this thread). The ‘misunderstanding’ has been cleared up now and so the auction has been pulled.

…..Better not say too much at this stage, but he’s aware of the auction and will be ‘discussing’ the issue with Phoenix in due course. ๐Ÿ˜‰

“Ask Seller a question” response

” Hi
Yes the aircraft has an undercarriage and wheels (but no brakes). The horizontal stabiliser is also there and we have a rudder for it. I do not have a picture of the interior available, but it is stripped of just about everything, with just the seat guns still fitted.
Hope this helps,
Best wishes,
Ritch “

Heres an idea…..

…why don’t we all chip in to buy her ?

Just think, the forumites actually helping to save an aircraft ?

Thoughts please…..

I know where we can get our hands on a better one if anyones interested. PM me if you would be interested in a possible ground running T-Bird.

Er…. are you sure about this Mark ?

As this aircraft has just been listed by Phoenix on eBay with a start price of ยฃ3,500.

Did Mick not want it then ?????

Yup, quite sure. Mick rang me last Thursday night and we chatted about his plans for it then.

XF321 As seen 3 weeks ago. If she doesnโ€™t get scrapped I hope she goes to a good home!

Not quite. XF321 is owned by Mick Jennings. .

Dave- It went to Bruntingthorpe to provide an engine for a T.7 ground runner there.
I chatted to Nevil a few weeks ago about her – she is for sale and not at scrap prices.

Not quite. XF321 is owned by Mick Jennings. The engine has been removed as David says, but the fuselage (certainly the cockpit section plus some other bits) will shortly be going for Mick to work his magic on. Sadly, ‘321 is in quite a bad way, after belly landing and being stored outside as an ‘Christmas tree’ at Exeter, so a restoration of the whole aircraft is not a viable proposition.

Their should be another Hunter out of Brunty soon, poor old T.7A XF321 due for the scrap man any day now.

Explain please Nigel ?

This a/c was purchased by Barry Pearson (from Yeovilton if i recall ?) and moved to Exeter with Barry Pover.

Why did it go to Brunty ? And why scrap it instead of selling it ?

Could well have been FGA.9 XE624 on her way to her new owner, she was always out of the public’s view, so unless you had access to Pheonix’s yard then you would never have known she was there.
