Friday afternoon Hurricane at Cambridge

Hello all!!

I was passing Cambridge at 325pm yesterday and saw a Hurricane in Battle of Britain colours on approach from the South West.

Does anyone know if this was the newly restored example?

Cheers

Quite possibly true but not at all unusual for this time of year.

No, they have all been disabled as Patty is due over in a few weeks.

I have a hunch that it may be the only Hurricane in the country that is capable of flight at the moment.

Assuming (big assumption) that HAC and Breighton are both under winter maintainance
Shuttleworth – In a Hangar inhibited for the winter, runway closed for work
BBMF Both coming to the end of repair and winter maintainance
TFC Last seen with panels missing but could also just be winter maintainance

This situation will of course be rectified in the next few weeks 🙂

What say the panel of experts
