B-25 at Sandtoft, or….?

Seem to remember that there was a post earlier this week regarding the derelicts at Sandtoft, and their possible sale. Does anyone have a clue if the 25 has got a new home?

Also, Hanover Street B-25 “Toujour au Danger/Marvellous Miriam” (N9115Z) did fly around 1979-80 at Biggin Hill mowing the lawn. There was a poor photo of the 25 in Air Classics with faded paint and the red/white cowls. Are there any intrepid photographers who remember shooting this plane at the show?

Yes, that’s it. 😀 Will try to get you on the new year honors list for your intrepid photographer deed… 😉 Thanks a lot Martin, great to see these photos. Interesting to see that the nose-art has changed. This photo shows how it looked as “Marvellous Miriam” during filming.

P. S. Underneath the film paint is Jimmy Doolittle’s original signature, which he scribbled on the plane while visiting a Yesterday’s Air Force gathering. Wonder if the RAF museum did strip the plane when they got it!!!

I’m surprised the Gannet hasnt been purchased for spares for G-KAEW the aew3 that Kennet are restoring to fly. I hope these machines find a home.

Marvellous Mirriam @ Biggin Hill 21Sep80

A friend of me has a picture of MM coming up from the valley @ Biggin Hill during the airshow on 21Sep80. I’ll check the availabilty. I used it in the DBAF’s magazine a few issues ago.
