A new post on Hyperscale has a brilliant scratchbuilt model of the Vultee XA-41, whixh looks rather impressive.

It lead me to wonder, what became of the real Vultee XA-41? Does the prototype still exist anywhere?
The page said it could out-turn the P51. Amazing when you see its size next to the Avenger model at the bottom of the page. To me it looks like it had a P47 nose shape, and a Skyraider tail shape, but is rather unique in its own right.

A quick Google got me:

Which says the airframe was scrapped at Hartford in 1950
WPAFB website is silent on the disposal.
