The 20th Century Roadshow combines the in-depth knowledge and authority of the Antiques Roadshow with an energetic, passionate and fresh approach to the 20th Century, the programme looks at everything from film, fashion and furniture, to toys, travel and technology.
This new series celebrates a century of enormous change and dynamism from the purely domestic, through serious collectables and entertaining trivia – from classic cars to expensive objets d’art.
The 20th Century Roadshow offers an absorbing insight into the enthusiastic and sometimes fanatical world of the avid collector. The show’s presenter, Alan Titchmarsh said: “I love the fact that the weirdest and most unlikely objects are judged by the experts to be collectable”
Our team of experts not only value objects, they also discover just what it is about these items that people love or loathe. Plus there’s a rare chance to peep into enthralling celebrity collections. Alan said: “The great thing about the 20th Century Roadshow is that everybody can be involved, not just those who have an heirloom left to them by granny or a bit of silver picked up at a car boot sale”.
From Star Wars toys to Sixties pop memorabilia, from Arts and Crafts to 70s designer clothes, The 20th Century Roadshow is where Doctor Who enthusiasts meet fans of Whitefriars glass in the hunt for design classics of the past 100 years that will captivate and enthral viewers.
Hope this might interest some of you 🙂

Good thinking Rebecca. We could do with some aviation related bits and bobs to spice things up over and above the inevitable “My Little Pony” offerings. And I don’t mean Transformers!
