If any of you have tried looking at my website within the past couple of days, you might have had this message displayed.
I have had no notice of anything happening to my free site, especially not of it being deleted or removed for some reason, and there was no time restriction on the hosting of the site. To say I am not amused is putting it lightly!!
I’ve e-mailed the web hosts to see what has happened. I am not a happy bunny.
😡 as ****!

Looks fine to me. I can’t see it lowering the tone of the forum. I will have to add it to my favourites.

Not my area of interest but a very decent website – nice one. I wouldn’t mind doing something like this for my civil airport trips. I love that red arrows portrait shot (it is the red arrows ?)

I think what you have created is well up to the mark. One thing for me though – it would be nice to be able to bring the shots up to larger size by being able to zoom in. This is not a critisism as you have some well composed shots but some are a little small.

I liked the combination of descriptive text and photos to follow and having attended the show it brought it back to life. However my only criticism is that if you are going public with a website you cannot afford spelling and grammatical errors. Tip for the next revision – spellcheck.;) Otherwise – I look forward to your Legends story, if you are attending.:)

I agree– the site lay-out and style is good, and the photos are very pleasing. However, let me also add that the text highlight going to white is pretty disorienting. Beyond that small quibble, nice job.

You have a great little site going there.
Just one thing I didnt like about it was that when you hover over the photo gallery buttons for instance the steam traction button the button changes to white the same as your writing. You may want to change this so it goes from blue to green or red etc. That way you can still see where you are about to click.
Possibly make certain picture enlarge into a bigger view so you can see more detail.
Apart from that nothing much wrong with it.

I’ll take a look at it. Thanks, Archer.

Better fix that link to Flyvintage at the bottom of the index page Daz, looks like it needs some typos removed. (Needs to be a space between ‘img’ and ‘src=..’)
Good to see it back!
Edit: there seems to be something else wrong there. You probably pasted the HTML from another program and now it doesn’t display properly. You need to edit that bit of HTML code, just replace every occurance of ‘& lt ;’ (disregard those spaces) with ‘<‘ and for every ‘& gt ;’ place a ‘>’. It should work then.

It is? Bloody oath! My e-mail must have shaken them up a bit!
Not only was I pi$$ed at the fact that all that hard work had suddenly gone AWOL, I had damn near 19,000 hits on it the last time I looked!!

freeservers does not delete your pages when you have not updated it for a long time. However, they do delete the lot when you have not had a hit fot 60 days! This is done automatically. Alos, FS does not make backups so unless you have made one, you can start all over again! 🙁

Check out this forum from FS, there questions can be asked.

How long was it up for Daz?.
Some of these free website builders have time limits or if the site is not updated on a regular basis the domain is re-allocated. I was not aware that freeservers operated like this though. Interested to see the reply you get.
If you have saved your material, then build another website. Tripod is not a bad deal for a cheap website, you can get quite a good looking effect for about £4.80 a month with NO adverts, easy to build and maintain as well.
The link in my signature is to my site built on Tripod Lycos . if you get no joy from freeservers, grab your domain on tripod!. the photos are hosted on photobucket.com and save on loading times. 😉
