Christmas shopping, FlyPast style

Having just got the latest FlyPast, I was struck with the many opportunities it provides (lottery win pending) to spend some serious cash on a variety of classic flying machines…

How about… an La-9, P40N, much of a Lincoln, a couple of Vampires, Gannet, Meteor, Provosts x2, B25, three Canberras, a Jindivik (nicely garage sized!), another Meteor, Phantom, Invader, SNJ-5, Strikemaster, P51-D, Corsair, Tigercat (mmm, nice),Wildcat, Avenger, Hunter/Lightning/Mig 21 cockpits or 2/20ths of a Catalina?

These were all dotted about the magazine either in adverts or news stories. There seem to be much more than usual, you normally might see a couple of airframes in the classifieds. Personally, I find it quite interesting. I sometimes buy a copy of ‘Motorsport’, the classic racing car magazine, and always go first to the huge classified section to imagine spending hypothetical  thousands!

Now.. how many shopping days left 😀
