Had to share these with you.
A 3 photo group of landing at Duxford during the summer of 89 sitting in the B-17 Bomb aimers position, 😮 FANTASTIC 😮

You should try it in a Mig 15 with a crosswind. Very sphincter puckering 😉

Was it as scary as when I let rip with a 50 cal in the nose during filming of the ‘Belle’ and forgot to mention it to you before hand 😀

B17 Man.The runway looks very short in the first photo,i know the shadow of the cloud is running across the runway as well but it still looks short 😮
It must look very short for a Hunter or fast jet pilot without landing chutes or reverse thrust.

Nothing looks like England from the air.
Everytime I fly into Gatwick or Heathrow and look out the window of the 777 I’m always impressed by the beauty of the countryside.
I’ve seen the UK from the air in various aircarft, and I’ve landed in the nose of a B-17 in the states.
Now if I could only put the two together.

The making of the movie is becoming a historical fact in historic aviation history. Thanks for posting B-17man.

Those gliders are a bit close in picture 2. CAA would have a fit if that happened these days… 😉
