Good God!!

I’ve recently learned, in the past 24 hours, that a mate of mine in Hungary is planning on building a Spitfire Tr.9 from original Spitfire plans, NOT as I assumed before, the old Jurca MJ100 plans! 😮

He’s looking for instruments at the moment – anyone care to help him out?

Daz err I’ve never been to New Zealand, I used to live in Geelong (Australia).
However its true that the Tr.9 is slowly beginning. Anyone who knows of any parts please let me know. I’ll post a list of stuff I need shortly. Also if anyone knows where I can pick up a Merlin for a fiver… meanwhile back in the real world!

Mark

Ps. Dave I’ve just been over to that site. Thanks for the link

Yep – full-sized flyer. I’ll make a note to tell him about that site, Dave. Funnily enough, he’s originally from New Zealand, too!

His Spit will have the Grace-designed “tunnel” and canopy arrangement as seen on ML407 and PT462. He’s only just started getting some of the smaller bits and pieces, and I said he could have a turn-and-bank indicator that I have here, if it’s suitable.

Blimey. I assume it’ll be full size?

A lot of WWII British aircraft instruments and parts have come up very cheap in recent weeks on Trademe.co.nz which is a Kiwi version of ebay. He might pick up something there.
