Has anyone seen the new Aeroplane Monthly? There is a great article concerning the field converted Spitfire V ES127 into a two seater.
I must admit I was originaly drawn into thinking this was being incorporated into the rebuild of Martin Phillips’ MKV. What a great and unusual addition that would have been to the airworthy Spitfire population.
Of course after reading said article I realised it was just a work experience project, and what a great one at that. Anyway I doubt the CAA would have given it clearance.

Anymore on a Hurricane two seat? It was mentioned in one of the mags a year or so ago that (re)building one was a possibility. Was it something to do with Hawker Restorations?

Well, it’s a good one! 🙂
I wonder who wrote it? 😉
Anyway, interesting idea to try it out.
I’ve often wondered if someone would be comfortable sitting there.
I must admit, at first glance I thought it was going to be for real (well, it was first thing in the morning!) but soon figured it out! 😮
And it made a change to see something in a mag that I hadn’t already haerd about via the various forums! 🙂
Also see that our very own Dan Johnson supplied the colour profile!
Cheers
