Just in case you weren’t aware, Cosford museum shop are selling this book (60th anniversary edition) for £30.00 + £4.50 P+P, which is less than half the usual £65.00! Got mine this morning – superb! Lists 2900+ BoB pilots, all with their potted biographies, promotion dates, awards, etc. and pictures of over half of them.
Just give the shop a ring and let your plastic do the talking….

Ok, Ok maybe me (and Steve!) are the last to hear about the knock-down price but better late than never – eh Steve?
Perhaps we should make more postings like this if we see bargains so we can all benefit (once we’ve got a copy for ourselves tucked away first of course!) ? 🙂

Hendon have been selling it for the same price for a while I believe.
I can confirm that – got mine 1/4/04 for £30, told Snapper about it and he got his too (probably sent to him though).
Must be due for an updated reprint by now…

Should have come to us on the 3rd October, they were doing seven signatures for £10 then. 🙂

Mind you, like all books it does contain errors, I have been told that one or two of the photos are not of the right person, and John Lansdell is given as ‘Landsdell’ throuout his entry.
Never the less it is an invaluable reference book, but do cross check the info with other sources if you can.

Absolutely right, but nonetheless, probably the best of it’s type (so far!)
