Anyone have any ideas as to the status of VZ345 and what the plans are for this airframe?
I know it was used as a spares source at one point, however how complete is it these days?
Many Thanks

Thanks for the info. I was aware that there was a twist in the aircraft, just didn’t realise how bad it was.
It is weird as the single seater was originally acquired to get VZ aiwworthy again following her nose over at Boscombe. I have a photo of the nearly complete airframe of VZ with the ‘replacement’ rear fuz somewhere. History reversed the two roles. Would be nice to see her fly again

It’s highly likely that VZ345 will never fly again, unless her current fuselage is rebuilt from scratch.

Love to see VZ345 rebuilt saw it at Brough as a source of spares for VR930, perhaps there is a straight rear fuselage in Iraq or elsewhere who knows.
As for the engine there is the bloke doing TFCs ” long term ” perhaps he could have a dabble one day. 😀

Hi chris
Saw it a few weeks ago at the Navys Historic flight hanger
Very complete,no outer wings or engine.Fuselage has a twist in it from the nose over.
Cheers
