A challenge!
Who can tell me what not-to-be-missed aviation-related event is happening at Bournemouth University on Thursday 28th October.

Hi is this an open event or would i need to book in advance?
Why don’t you call the contact no in my thread highlighted earlier. I’m sure they will be very helpful.
This is the sort of thing that will get you dropped from my favourite fantasy list.
Aw shucks. And I’ve still got the Kylie outfit you like me to dress up in.

Enough nubile totty and the eyes don’t see so far!
Melv
it was probably the thought of nubile totty that ruined your eyes in the first place 😀 😀 😉 😀

Far from it. Nubile totty as far as the eye can see.

Bournemouth is full of unattached grannies I hear. Is Melv on the lookout for a Kylie replacement?
Yup. Thursdays, Bournmouth – ‘Grab a Granny Night’. That’ll be it.

Hey, I’m tall enough to be a member.
Well, sort of…
Is “tallish” a word?
No, you’re not very tall and you look like a member . . .

Steve Patterson was trying to weedle his way into the RAeS at the time–of course they won’t have him, being an American (even Charles Lindberg was rejected) and he didn’t go to Cambridge–well he did but only to go shopping there.

Bravo Andy – you obviously have inside knowledge.
Now can anyone, other than Andy, translate Andy’s comments into something more useful which give people the desire to get down there, heckle and report back on the forum?
Actually Janie
I saw it on the RAeS website while I was in the States. Steve Patterson was trying to weedle his way into the RAeS at the time–of course they won’t have him, being an American (even Charles Lindberg was rejected) and he didn’t go to Cambridge–well he did but only to go shopping there.
But seriously Melvyn Hiscock is this year doing The RAeS memorial lecture on the above date at the above venue.
Melv, what’s the subject?
Cheers

The question is, will he (not necessarily who you think) be flying there?

Janie
is it a memorial lecture on ‘How I Spent Four Years in a Hampshire Cowshed’
or ‘Rearwin Restoration Made Easy’
by that famous 47 year old Guitar playing Basingrad resident?
His name escapes at present–Melvis Hancock I think it is. 😀 😀
Cheers
