Ki-61-1a 'Tony'

Can anybody tell me,what happend to the remains of Ki-61-1a ‘Tony’ that was made airworthy at Anacostia in 1945.

Presumably the remains were scrapped.

Lots of things were scrapped to make room for equipement suddenly needed for the Korean War, I recall reading somewhere.

Dunno, Naka, but I’ve got a book at home that will tell me the answer (Phil Butler’s ‘War Prizes’) Further info this evening.

By the way, I never got that Sushi that you promised me last Sunday at Duxford! 😉 A fatty tuna sashimi or some of those yummy prawns are my favourites.

If you in London look me up, I take you to Asasaka, it serves great Sushi and Sashimi .
