There’s defiantly plenty of time for practicing during the winter.
I know the problem you have with the S5000, I brought a 6900 last year but after 2 shows it was relagted to taking statics and I went back to film.

Nice pics Ross, I have the same problem with keeping a moving plane in the middle of the picture.
At least there’s plenty of time to practice before next years season starts. One problem I had with my fuji s5000 was that when I took a picture, the camera would freeze the image in the view finder and I couldn’t follow the plane anymore.
