Mike J, when you say ‘it’s demise’, what happened to it? Did it crash (sink?) or was it cancelled?

I think it’ an awesome idea. Someone really needs to persue it commercially.

Don’t know, haven’t looked on the website. As I said, I’ve got a couple of books on them at home, and I remember that the one-off KM was modified considerably during its lifetime.

True! But it didn’t shrink this much! 😉

I still think it’s the KM, which went through a number of modifications before its demise.

Better go and check that answer on the website that’s on that photo Mike 😉

I second that about Mike J, that last time I saw him at DX he forced a pint upon me, very nasty about it he was to.

A few years ago a local business man actually proposed using these aircraft as cross-channel ferries to Jersey. Funny I’ve not hear of him since.

It would be indeed!

For the ones still guessing, the quiz is still open as the correct answer hasn’t been posted yet. (Although I thought I had cracked it, I just realized I didn’t  ).

😀 Mike’s a meanie.

See him pick on some defenceless W.W.II bomber crews. “Sign the book grandad, or I’ll break your fingers in this hardback…”

Er aktully yes, that was the generic name for dese Russn fings (WIGs) mate. BTW Stewart – Leaving the website URL in the pic is nearly as clever as leaving the name as the jpg.
