B-17 Crash in PNG

Ok Guys,

I put this over on the Wix forum No luck so lets try here.

The plane is B-17F 41-24550 crash into Bootless Inlet Port Moresby 12/14/42.

So is it still their I know in the 70s that David T. was looking at it when he was doing his recoverys.

Hi Guys,

It sit in about 2meters of water if that the crew survived they basically wade to the shore.

I know that as late as 79 it was still out their my dad told me that they would us it for Nav, checks when they went Downunder.

So maybe one of are Aussie/NZ guys can do a recon flight.

Broken and forgotten

Not sure Rob :confused: , If it was still left there I dont think there would be much left, Salt water, Sun, And Smelters pots :rolleyes: , Would have taken care of that, 😮 See if Gary Larkins and his Sky Pirates got her out, Theres a site on the web somewhere that has lots of info on recoverys, But I did not save it to favs 🙁 , I cannot remember how I found it 😮 , See if you have any luck, Cheers all, Tally Ho! :diablo: Phil.
