238 squadron, Chilbolton.

Hurricane P3599, Sgt F.A. Sibley missing, failed to return from combat with enemy fighters over Poole Harbour, 11.10 hrs.

248 squadron, Sumburgh.

Blenheim R3626, P/O C.C. Bennett, Sgt G.S. Clarke, Sgt G.B. Brash missing, failed to return from reconnaissance sortie to the Nowegian coast.

607 squadron, Tangmere.

Hurricane P2900, F/L C.E. Bowen missing, shot down during combat with Bf110s over the Isle of Wight, 10.50 hrs.

Hurricane V6686, Sgt N Brumby killed, shot down during combat with Bf110s over the Isle of Wight, 10.50 hrs.
