Came across “After the Battle” tonight with an article by Andy Saunders on the downing of Douglas Bader.
Wondering if anyone else read it and what the thought. His conclusion came as a big surprise, but based on the evidence makes a lot of sense.

No, Liverpool. And that is the touchy bit. Serious. – Nermal

Hmmm. I tried the search thinking that I must have missed this stuff somewhere. Found one small thread that didn’t go into detail. Touchy subject by chance?

Why was it touchy,is’nt it quite what we’ve been led to believe then

Dan,
There was a thread about this article back in April, I think. It should be possible to locate it by searching under ‘Bader’. I would agree with your opinion – the conclusion is unexpected but makes sense from the source material.
