All, can any one help me here,
A good friend of mine has asked if I could find out if Lancaster B3 JA960 : OF-E lost on the night of 1/2 Jan 1944 and operated by No 97 Sqn from Bourne under the command of F/O R.L Mooney DFM carried any nose art/mission markings.
F/O Mooney was the grandfather of the wife of my friend, and would like to know if his aircraft carried any personalised nose art or mission markings or any other special markings, prior to that last mission.
I would appreciate any information passed, but would dearly love to be able to show an image of the aircraft.

I know of a fellow who is BIG on nose art. His name is Clarence Simonsen. I will see if I can dig out his email address.
