Gotha Replica under construction…

Here’s an odd piece of news, an American is building a flyable Gotha replica…I’ll believe it when I see it.
I wonder if the DH gypsy engines will provide enough power?

Be good if it makes it to the Classic Fighters Airshow here in Blenheim NZ.
That airshow specialises in WW1 aircraft, with Peter Jackson having a strong hand in it.

Hi All,

Eddie, the photo was in Classic Wings, and the reason the nose is Funny is he is build a G-2 not a G-4 which most WWI prints of the Gotha Show.

I saw a photo of this aircraft somewhere – I think when I saw it, it was just a fuselage. As far as I can recall, it wasn’t a very authentic replica – some odd changes in shape from the original (the nose was a bit funny).

I hope he’s not planning to bomb London with it.
