A couple of Dragon Rapides

With my burgeoning interest in things aviation, my Auntie Rita, a ground stewardess with BEA, prepared a little album for me. Here are a couple of shots of Dragon Rapides: G-AHLL at Jersey in 1948 and G-AJXB at St Mary’s in the Scilly Isles in 1952.

I wonder of their fates?

G-AHLL certainly did’nt survive, it was broken up for spares in February 1960. G-AJXB went to Sweden in August 1956 and became SE-BCU, after that who knows?

Both aircraft are de-registered. G-AJXB was withdrawn in june 1956 and G-AHLL in february 1960. I doubt that they have survived.
