Well here is what we have over on the wix board. :p

Hi All,

OK this is what I have found out today, first its going to an Americain owner, second it came out of PNG dump were it was discoverd in one of the old dumps. Their is also another 61 that was in the same dump that is said to being made ready for departure to the States.

The plane was uncovered about 6 months ago and has been keep in a rather secret location on PNG along with some other items. I will work on what the other stuff are over the next few days.

Hi All,

This is what I know it appears to be about 80% complete airframe, we think it was burried.

As Setter posted it was in a faded All-Black paint, when we were talking about it we don’t think it came out of PNG. Some of the parts look to been underground for some time.

Setter said that the airframe look as good or even alittle better then the MAAM airframe when it came out.

I’ll be doing some investegating over the next couple of days to see if I can pin-point were it was heading. Since it left by ship finding the cargo manaf. should’nt be to hard. If its come to the States there are only a few ports that get large Cargo ships.

This must increase the global population of P61’s by what? 33%? A fantastic find if she’s a ‘new’ one, well done to all concerned! 🙂
