Spitfire Canopy

Chaps, anyone know of a Spitfire canopy (hi back) in any condition going spare, if so please send me a private message

It is always beneficial to be able to see as far behind as is possible. The armour plate didn’t block the entire section – every little angle helps – and wasn’t on the first combat Spitfires anyway. It probably also helps the fitter given the job of fettling the adjustments on the seat belt that is fastened behind the seat.

No I wasn’t thinking of the rear part – it was an ACTUAL canopy perspex (sans framing). I’ll take a gander…

Yep… one on ebay…. Same bloke who flogging all the Lanc stuff..

thanx old chap…but that is the radio hatch cover (unless he has put a canopy up since I last looked!!)

I have a funny feeling I saw one on e-bay not very long ago (certainly within the past week), so if you type in “Spitfire” it might just be up still.
